Deloitte's Policy and Government Relations (PGR) group is currently looking to hire a Senior Analyst to its public policy team. The role will be based out of the Washington, DC office, and the Senior Analyst will be expected to work in the office 1-2 days per week.Work You'll DoThe successful candidate will:
Conduct research and support analysis for policy team projects, as well as contribute to issue briefs explaining the political and policy dynamics of a diverse range of public policy issues.
Track and report on policy trends.
Monitor legislation and regulations for the PGR team.
Contribute to the development of public policy products and presentations for internal stakeholders and Firm clients.
Provide project management support to the Public Policy leader, including contributing to project trackers and progress reports.
Support the creation of written briefing materials and PowerPoint decks.
Excellent writing and research skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to self-direct work and work as part of a team in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior-level and peer-level practitioners.
Professional demeanor and presence.
Strong PowerPoint skills.
The TeamPGR's core functions:
Promote and protect the Firm's business interests by actively engaging key policy makers and influential policy stakeholders.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to drive the development of public policy positions and support engagement opportunities.
Conduct analysis of trending legislative, regulatory, and public policy issues and anticipate potential impact on the Firm.
Build and maintain relationships with members of Congress, state lawmakers, administration officials, and key policy influencers (e.g., think tanks, industry associations) in support of the Firm's policy and legislative priorities.
Required Qualifications:
3 or more years of professional experience in the public policy or legislative fields.
Bachelors Degree
Understanding of the legislative, regulatory, and policymaking process.
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
Prior experience working in Congress, the executive branch, trade associations, government affairs organizations, or public policy community.

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, Washington state and Washington D.C. and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
